Retirement
Allow us to help achieve your retirement goals through our 401K match programs. Deaconess will match a percent of the employee's first 6% of contributions when meeting all criteria. Deaconess match is 100% of the first 1% plus 50% of the next 5% for a total match of 3.5% of your salary if you contribute at least 6% of your salary.

Time Away
Time away is essential. Generous Paid Time Off is available for all eligible employees. PTO is accrued, and that accrual starts Day One of employment! Deaconess also provides short-term and long-term disability benefits, with buy-up options. Leave of absence can be granted for medical, family, military, and education purposes.

Wellness is all encompassing! Deaconess provides annual monetary wellness incentives paid back to participating employees. Our Wellness Solutions team also initiates monthly wellness activities. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available for overall employee well-being. Additional tuition student loan wellness resources are available through our Educational Assistance Programs.

Our health system operates 24/7 to serve our patient needs! Employees working evening, night, and weekend shifts are eligible for additional compensation incentives for these various shifts. Additional on-call, preceptor, and inpatient incentives are available for various areas in the organization.

Our employees are constantly pouring into our patients, and recognizing their contributions are a small act to give back towards what they do. Deaconess extends the Daisy Award (for Nurses and Student Nurses), Service Awards for years of service, Deaconess Difference Maker Awards, Speak up for Safety Awards, and daily highlights through our “Recognation” Platform where employees and leaders can recognize all employees for their dedication.
